Dr. Robert Tavonatti has worked in the field of education for over 35 years as a teacher and administrator. He taught high school art, science, technology, and vocational classes. He also taught arts, crafts, and photography at Yuba Community College. He spent 12 years as Vice-Principal of Rio Vista High School. He was Principal/Program Administrator for at-risk youth at the Sonoma County Office of Education from 1999 to 2005. He was also Principal of Peoples High School in Vallejo before coming to Pathways Charter School in 2007.
He has a Bachelors Degree in Industry and Technology and a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Chico State University. He completed his Doctorate in Educational Technology at Pepperdine University in 2007.
In his spare time he enjoys astronomy, pyrotechnics, gourmet cooking, and playing his guitar. He has collected many classic cars over the years including a Hudson Wasp, MGA, Austin Healey, and Shelby Cobra.
