This is my second year working at Pathways Charter School. During the 2010-2011 school year I taught part-time at both the Lake and Rohnert Park centers. I moved to California 30 years ago from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended college in Waukesha, Wisconsin for two years. I then raised my children, teaching them mostly at home and through independent study. In 1982 my family and I moved to California.

I am a graduate of Sonoma State University where I obtained my Baccalaureate in Liberal Arts. I next attended Dominican College, where I earned my Single Subject Social Studies Credential. I also attended classes at Humboldt State and Chico State. I returned to Sonoma State to study Special Education and earned my Clear Mild to Moderate Credential as well as a Multiple Subject Credential.

I've taught over ten years in Lake County in Special Education as well as general education settings. I worked in the high schools in Lake county as well as middle schools and elementary. I particularly enjoyed middle school and supported an Environmental Club at Oak Hill Middle School.

The Writing and Journalism class is in the process of writing a newsletter for the school.
We hope to have our first issue out by November. If you have any submissions, contact me at school. The class would like other students to send in letters, articles, comics, comments or any other writing essays.

I am interested in Reading and Language Arts and have taken a Reading Specialist class. I am continuing to return to school and plan on attaining an Autism Authorization certificate soon.
I have worked with students using reading assessments and have taught writing at all grade levels.
