As most of you know, Covid cases are surging in our counties right now. We are seeing case counts that are four times as high as any other point in the past two years. Furthermore, in Sonoma County, additional health orders are restricting the size of gatherings allowed in the county and the health officer is urging people to stay home as much as possible. In order to prioritize the health and safety of our staff and students, Pathways will be shifting online for the final two weeks of the semester. This will begin Tuesday January 18th and last through January 28th (last day of fall semester). All student classes, meetings and student services will be moved to online platforms. Please look for communication from your instructors and teachers on those specifics including a meeting link and other details.
While student services will be online for these two weeks, our learning centers and offices will remain open with staff present. This will allow students and parents to stop by their regional learning center to pick up or drop off necessary items. We have plenty of chromebooks for any student who needs one and also urge families to pick up their box of at-home rapid antigen tests if they haven't already done so. We have a Safety Committee meeting on January 24th. That team will assess conditions and make a plan for after January 28th. Should any further mitigation measures be put in place or the time period for online services be extended, we will communicate that as soon as possible.

Además, en el condado de Sonoma, el Departamento de Salud ha dado órdenes adicionales que limitan el tamaño de las reuniones permitidas en el condado e insta a las personas a quedarse en casa tanto como sea posible. Para priorizar la salud y la seguridad de nuestro personal y estudiantes, Pathways cambiará de clases presenciales a clases en línea durante las últimas dos semanas del semestre. Esto comenzará el martes 18 de enero y durará hasta el 28 de enero (último día del semestre de otoño). Todas las clases, reuniones y servicios para estudiantes se trasladarán a plataformas en línea.
