Mr. Petter Parelius

Welcome to the new school year! I am thrilled to join the Pathways Charter School community as a first-year teacher guiding our 8th-grade students through mathematics. My goal is to create a welcoming, collaborative, and engaging learning environment where every student feels empowered to tackle challenges, ask big questions, and build confidence in their problem-solving skills. Whether we are exploring algebra concepts or connecting mathematical ideas to real-world applications, I am committed to supporting each learner's unique growth. I look forward to working closely with our students and families to make this a successful and inspiring year!

Some background information:

I am originally from Norway and moved to the United States at age 4.
I grew up in a small ski resort called Bear Valley in the Sierra Nevada range near Angels Camp, where my parents owned a Sports Shop.
I have two older sisters and am married to my lovely wife, whom I met at UCLA. We have 6 amazing children.
I graduated from UCLA with a Mathematics degree and a minor in Computer Science.
I graduated from Georgetown University with an MBA in International Finance.
I have spent my career as a leader in Software Development and IT Management across many industries and companies.
I am very excited to start a new career as a teacher and share my love of Math.
