2022 Graduation Commencement Ceremony Information

Scheduling/Length of Ceremony

 

The Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 10 at 3:00pm, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 2075 Occidental Rd, Santa Rosa, and is expected to be approximately 90 minutes in length. Doors open at 2:30 for guest seating. Tickets are required, with the exception of children under five. Graduates need to arrive by 2:00pm for Rehearsal. During the ceremony, regional principals will introduce graduates individually. In advance of the ceremony, students prepare a brief statement to be read by principals. Please review:

Graduate Introduction Instructions  and submit to your principal by May 20th.

 

Commencement Ceremony Tickets

 

Admission to graduation is by Ticket Only. Graduating seniors will receive the number of tickets they requested in the graduation participation survey to distribute to family and friends. For any family or friends requiring handicapped accessible seating, there are several handicapped accessible rows. Tickets will be distributed to the regional learning centers on May 20th  for seniors to pick up. The number of Commencement Ceremony Tickets are subject to change with Sonoma County Health Order.

 

Masking Requirements and COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines

 

Attendees will be required to wear masks indoors. Masks will be provided to those who need one. All participants are expected to self-screen for fever and COVID-19 symptoms prior to arriving at graduation. Individuals who are sick or in isolation or quarantine must remain at home. Individuals who are feeling ill, have symptoms of COVID-19, or have potentially been exposed to someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, should not attend the graduation event. Pathways Charter School and The Center for Spiritual Living follow the current health and safety guidelines from Sonoma County and California Department of Public Health.

 

Attire for Commencement Ceremony

 

Pathways Charter School is pleased to be able to purchase a separate tassel with the school colors for each graduate this year. The Cap/Gown/Tassel package can be purchased from Amazon here: Cap/Gown/Tassel Package. Students must purchase the black gown package. Please be sure you have it shipped directly to your home by May 20th. The school does have loaner caps and gowns available to those with hardships. Graduation Practice (Mandatory)

 

Seniors participating in the Commencement Ceremony must arrive by 2:00pm the day of graduation. Practice is from 2:00 - 2:30 so it is important that seniors are not late. Students who arrive late to the ceremony may not be able to participate. 

 

Diploma/Final Transcript

 

Students will receive a Diploma Cover at the Commencement Ceremony. Official diplomas will be mailed out in July to the graduate’s address on file. **Please notify our main office at 707-585-6510 if you have moved.

 

Senior Slideshow

 

Pathways presents a Senior Slideshow at the ceremony, produced by Independent Study Teacher, Tammy Dier. Guidance Coordinator, Naomi Yedlosky, will be contacting families and collecting items for the presentation. Here are Instructions for the Senior Slideshow. Items are due May 20th. Pictures

 

Professional Photographer, Anastella Berry, will be onsite from 1:00 - 2:00 for graduates who wish to have professional photos taken. Anastella offers several packages starting at $25.00 and up. Payment is due in full at sitting and can be made by credit card, check or cash. 

 

Noise Makers, Balloons, etc.

Out of respect for graduates, families and guests, noise makers (i.e. air horns) are not permitted and will be confiscated if found. So as not to obstruct guests’ view of the stage, it is requested that balloons either be left in the vehicle until after graduation or placed along the back or side walls inside the hall until after the ceremony is over. Please also no silly string, confetti or other items that require extensive cleanup.

Parking and Facility Policies

 

Parking is available on the Center for Spiritual Living grounds during event hours. Handicapped zone regulations shall be observed at all times. All attendees’ cars must vacate immediately after the event. Parking is not permitted in red zones, posted areas, or on Occidental Road.

 

Food, Tobacco and Alcohol

 

Food and beverages (except water) are prohibited everywhere in the facility. The Center for Spiritual Living is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted outside the building at least 50 feet away from the entry doors.
